MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – Later this month, the Westlake Athletic Booster Club will hold its annual “Night at the Races” event, one of their major fundraising events of the year.

The third annual event will take place on January 20 at Traveler’s Rest in Ossining from 7 to 11 p.m. The night consists of 10 simulated horse races put together by the booster club that those in attendance can wager bets on. Also, the ticket drawing for the club’s “Trip of a Lifetime” raffle will take place at the end of the evening. The raffle includes three prizes: grand prize wins an all-expense paid trip for two to a select major sporting event or vacation destination, second prize is a 51-inch plasma television, and third prize is $500 cash. Tickets for the raffle are $20 and can be purchased up until the night of the event.

In year’s past, proceeds raised from the “Night at the Races” event contributed significant funds to the booster club that allowed them to purchase items for the Westlake Athletic Department, such as new scoreboards, a pitching machine, and an outdoor batting cage.

Admission to the event is $60 and includes buffet dinner, beer and wine, coffee, and dessert. Tickets for admission and for the Trip of a Lifetime raffle can be purchased through the booster club’s website. For more information, contact Rob Papa at 914-403-4611 or Anthony Sardo at 914-589-6854.
