SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – The polls in Sleepy Hollow will be opening at 6 a.m. and closing at 9 p.m. on Tuesday for several town and county elections. Here's everything you need to know about the candidates who will appear on your ballot.

Mount Pleasant Town Council
Mark Rubeo Jr. (incumbent)
Party Affiliations: Republican, Conservative
Education: Bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence University, law degree from Albany Law School
Experience: One term on town council, 15-year practicing lawyer
Goals: Keeping taxes at a minimum
Carl Fulgenzi Jr. (incumbent)
Party Affiliations: Republican, Conservative
Experience: Two terms on the town council, member of the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce
Goals: Resolve flooding issues, keep taxes low
Jane Abbate
Education: Bachelor's degree from University of Hartford
Experience: Mount Pleasant Architectural Review Board member, founding member of Mount Pleasant Today
Goals: Make Mount Pleasant pedestrian-friendly, promote transparency in government
Mount Pleasant Town Justice
Robert Ponzini (incumbent)
Party Affiliations: Republican, Independence, Conservative
Mount Pleasant Town Supervisor
Joan Maybury (incumbent)
Party Affiliations: Conservative, Republican
Experience: One term as town supervisor, former Mount Pleasant Town Councilmember, former teacher at Columbus Elementary School
Education: Bachelor's degree from College of Mount St. Vincent, master's degree from Manhattan College
Goals: Maybury wants to keep taxes at a minimum, offer necessary services in cost-effective manner.
Richard Gagliardi
Party Affiliations: We the People
Experience: Operates a physiology practice in Greenwich, Conn., honorary Police Commissioner in Mount Vernon, former police officer in Virginia
Education: Ph.D. In physiology
Goals: More transparent government, increase town's police force and improve police equipment
Westchester County Board of Legislators District 3
John Nonna (incumbent)
Party affiliations: Democrat, Working Families, Independence
Education: Bachelor's degree from Princeton University, law degree from New York University
Experience: Two terms as District 3 Legislator, Mayor of Pleasantville, Pleasantville Board of Trustees
Goals: Nonna hopes to keep taxes low by having neighboring towns and villages share services. He also supports transparent government and the implementation of safety-net programs within the county. Nonna says the Affordable Housing Settlement is a legal issue, not a political issue.
Michael Smith
Party affiliations: Republican, Conservative
Education: Bachelor's degree from Fairfield University, MBA from Fordham University Graduate School of Business
Experience: Chief Financial Officer of Berkeley Educational Services, former president of the Valhalla Union Free School District Board of Education
Goals: Smith supports reducing the size of county government and promoting local businesses in the county. He says his experience can help resolve financial issues in the county.

Edward Borrelli

Robert M. DiBella

Experience: Acting Supreme Court Justice, former Westchester County Judge
Paul Marx
Party Affiliations: Democrat, Independence, Working Families
Education: Bachelor's degree from SUNY Plattsburgh, law degree from New York Law School
Experience: 28-year practicing trial and appellate attorney based in White Plains. Marx has represented several types of cases before the state Supreme Court.
